Location: Manchester Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About Us: Our client is an established freight forwarding and logistics company providing shipping, transport and forwarding services to a wide range of customers. They handle multi-modal shipments by road and sea, and serve customers across multiple sectors. They are committed to delivering expert customer service and maintaining strong business relationships. Logistics Accounts Coordinator - The Role: As Logistics Accounts Coordinator, you will be the nominated point of contact for some of the company's largest and most valued customers. You will manage their freight forwarding needs, handling multiple major accounts with the highest levels of attention to detail. Your focus will be on providing excellent shipping and transport expertise, building lasting relationships, understanding customer requirements, and promoting the company's full range of services to generate and retain business. Logistics Accounts Coordinator - Key Responsibilities: - Provide service information, quotations and take bookings, championing customer needs at all times - Receive and process incoming enquiries accurately, collecting all necessary information to ensure correct booking and timely shipment processing - Handle road and sea forwarding shipments while protecting the company by monitoring credit ratings and outstanding account balances - Follow up quotations and correspondence with customers to secure business and develop new opportunities alongside Sales Executives - Manage customer order progress enquiries efficiently, keeping customers informed of shipment status at all times - Demonstrate knowledge of customs regulations, dangerous goods and insurance requirements, liaising with customs staff as needed - Collate and process claims information promptly and professionally - Maintain accurate documentation, records and systems, preparing management reports as required Logistics Accounts Coordinator - You: - Comfortable working across the Microsoft suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Teams - A fast learner with new systems and generally computer literate - Able to work from the Manchester site full time, ideally with your own transport - Highly organised with strong attention to detail - Calm under pressure, able to prioritise a busy workload and see it through - Confident multi-tasking, with experience of this in a similar role - Comfortable taking ownership of decisions and working independently within agreed boundaries - A genuine team player with a can-do attitude - Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs regulations and shipping procedures, or willingness to develop these Benefits: - Competitive salary within the range £25,000 - £30,000 - Opportunity to work with major revenue-generating customers - Professional development in logistics and freight forwarding - Supportive team environment with clear reporting line to Logistics Accounts Supervisor To submit your CV for this exciting Logistics Accounts Coordinator opportunity, click Apply today
