Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead a large-scale catering operation within a busy residential environment. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in delivering nutritious, culturally appropriate meals in a fast-paced and rewarding setting.
About the Role:
As Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a substantial catering facility, including:
Overseeing the preparation and service of three daily meals, seven days a week, plus snacks and refreshments.
Ensuring meals meet cultural, dietary and religious requirements (including Halal and vegetarian options)
Leading and motivating the catering team to deliver high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Managing menus, stock control, allergen compliance, and waste reduction processes.
Maintaining a 5 food hygiene rating and compliance with all relevant legislation and contract KPIs.
Liaising with the client and attending regular facilities meetings.
About You:
We are looking for someone with:
Proven experience managing large-scale catering facilities (such as residential sites, healthcare, education or contract catering).
Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, allergen management, and compliance standards.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A positive, proactive approach with a passion for delivering high standards of service.
Qualifications:
Level 3 (or higher) Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (essential)
Advanced or RIPHH Diploma in Food Hygiene (desirable).
DBS clearance and Right to Work in the UK required prior to start.
