Night Warehouse Operative

Grafters Recruit require a night’s warehouse operative for our client in Dartford, Kent, to work on night shifts. It is essential to have recent experience in a warehouse environment and operating PPT. This role will require people who are physically fit as items can be heavy. You will need to have safety boot and Hi-Viz BENEFITS: 1. 37.5+ hour working week 2. £14.04 Nights 3. Free on-site parking 4. Automatically enrolled in company pension after 3 months 5. Temp to perm DUTIES: 1. 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 18.00-06.00 2. Reporting to the warehouse supervisor 3. Working in a team environment in a safe manner adhering to site Health & Safety regulations and Safe Systems of Work 4. Loading vehicles ready for customer deliveries 5. Ensuring quality is of the highest standards and all stock is handled with care so it arrives at our customers in perfect condition 6. Carry out training of new and agency employees and daily operation tasks 7. Assist and oversee van area procedure - ensuring all vans are done by following the process and in a reasonable time manner 8. Aid and assist with the development and continuous improvement of all Warehouse Operatives 9. Cover all planned and unplanned Supervisor's absence 10. Always adhere to all GXO Health & Safety policies EXPERIENCE 1. Previous experience within warehousing is essential 2. The ability to read and understand instructions 3. The ability to count accurately 4. Have the appropriate hand, eye and foot coordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment 5. Counterbalance preferred 6. PPT Experience essential. 7. You will be reliable, self-motivated, a strong team player and will have a flexible approach to work 8. Physically able to assist in the movement of goods which may include bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations Interviews will be held.
