Homes England is launching the National Housing Bank, a new government-backed investment platform to accelerate housing delivery across England.
With £16bn in capital, it will unlock private investment, support regeneration and accelerate housing delivery across the UK. Joining now offers a rare opportunity to shape a major new national investment platform from the ground up.
This role supports the monitoring and management of the National Housing Bank's large portfolio of guarantee schemes, ensuring performance, risk and compliance are effectively tracked through data analysis, reporting and robust governance processes. Working across internal teams and external partners, the Manager helps maintain accurate information, manage risks, and ensure schemes align with policy priorities while building strong stakeholder relationships to support successful delivery.
The opportunity
Responsibilities include:
* Review and summarise submissions from delivery partners, highlighting key risks, insights and issues for senior colleagues.
* Coordinate input across internal teams and external advisers to support due diligence, commercial processes and programme delivery.
* Gather, analyse and report on programme performance data, producing dashboards, reports and stakeholder materials.
* Support monitoring of guarantee schemes by tracking financial, operational and risk metrics against objectives and risk appetite.
* Maintain accurate governance documentation, including risk registers, trackers, templates and programme records.
* Build and manage working relationships with stakeholders across government, finance and housing sectors to support effective programme management.
Candidate profile
* Experience working in a financial, housing, commercial or public‑sector environment, supporting delivery of defined workstreams.
* Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data clearly (e.g. via Excel and reports).
* Experience supporting governance, risk or reporting frameworks, including maintaining logs, dashboards or documentation.
* Ability to produce clear, concise briefings, presentations and summaries for senior stakeholders.
* Some understanding of housing policy, real estate, investment or financing structures (or a strong interest in developing this).
* Experience working with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. partners, advisers), with good coordination and communication skills.
