The successful candidate will support children within Nursery and Reception, helping pupils develop socially, emotionally and academically during these crucial early stages of education.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support pupils within Nursery and Reception classes

* Deliver targeted interventions and small-group support

* Promote learning through play and exploration

* Support children's communication and language development

* Encourage positive behaviour and social development

* Work closely with teachers and parents to support pupil progress

* Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources

* Help create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment

What the School Is Looking For

The ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant will have:

✅ Previous experience within EYFS, Nursery or Reception

✅ Experience working within a Primary School setting

✅ Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework

✅ A patient, caring and nurturing approach

✅ Excellent communication skills

✅ A genuine passion for Early Years education

✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Level 2, Level 3 CACHE, Early Years Practitioner or Teaching Assistant qualifications are highly desirable.
