Site Manager – Civils / Groundworks / Structures Location: South Wales (major project near Swansea) Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + car allowance + package Sector: Civil Engineering / Main Contractor Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Site Manager – The Company A well-established and highly regarded main contractor is looking to appoint a Site Manager to support delivery on a major civil engineering project in South Wales. The business operates across large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering schemes, with projects typically exceeding £10m in value. With a strong pipeline of secured work and long-term frameworks in place, this is a stable opportunity offering continuity of work and clear progression. Site Manager – The Role As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for a key section of a live civil engineering project, overseeing site operations from groundworks through to structural elements. You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineering team, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. This role would suit a Site Manager with a strong civils background, particularly in groundworks and structures. Candidates with additional exposure to general construction elements will be viewed favourably. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day site operations on a major civils project * Coordinate subcontractors, plant, labour, and materials * Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and budget * Maintain high health & safety standards across site * Liaise with engineers, commercial team, and senior management * Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with specifications * Lead site meetings and provide progress updates Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering * Strong background in groundworks and structural packages * Experience on projects £10m+ * Main contractor experience preferred * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid * Strong organisational and communication skills The Opportunity * Long-term, secure pipeline of major infrastructure projects * Immediate role on a significant live scheme * Clear progression within a growing and structured business * Competitive salary with car allowance and full package
