About the role

Quality Inspector Location: Brentwood area Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience A global distribution company supplying the aerospace industry is looking to recruit an Inspector to ensure components and products meet customer, technical and regulatory requirements. Applications are welcomed from experienced candidates with a background in aerospace, engineering, manufacturing or quality, particularly those familiar with inspection within a regulated environment. What's on offer? £25,000 - £35,000 salary, depending on experience 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays Flexible working hours 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-12pm Friday Cycle to Work Scheme On-site gym and recreation facilities Enhanced pension contribution Free on-site parkingKey responsibilities Carry out dimensional, visual and documentation checks on incoming parts and outgoing products Identify materials and components for ad hoc sample inspections Create and maintain product inspection checklists Record findings and complete detailed quality reports Create, manage and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 Support internal and external calibration activities Assist with root cause and failure mode investigations relating to product returns Raise and manage non-conformities and supplier returns Monitor, review and action shelf-life inventory Maintain accurate records and documentation Work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issuesExperience required Previous experience in an inspection, quality or engineering role Aerospace experience is highly desirable Working knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality requirements Knowledge of AS9102 and ISO 2859-1 would be advantageous Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications and data Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers Good computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and MS Office Strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills Excellent attention to detail and an organised approachThis is a great opportunity to join an established global organisation and develop your career within the aerospace supply chain.
