Welsh-Speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Pontypridd Contract: Full-time Start Date: May 2026 We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Welsh-speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a friendly and inclusive school in Pontypridd .

The Role Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs (ALN) Support learning, communication, and emotional wellbeing through the medium of Welsh Work closely with the class teacher, ALNCo, and support staff Follow and contribute to individual support plans Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour The Ideal Candidate Will Have The ability to communicate confidently in Welish (essential) Experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or ALN support role A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach Good teamwork and communication skills An understanding of ALN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and xwzovoh language needs (desirable but not essential) We Offer A supportive and welcoming school environment Opportunities for training and professional development The chance to make a meaningful difference to a child's education Competitive pay in line with experience
