Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services (Permanent) Location: Bridgend Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (DOE) Type: Permanent We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an established M&E contractor based in Bridgend. This is a permanent opportunity offering long‑term stability, a varied project portfolio, and structured development within a growing design team. This role is ideally suited to both intermediate and experienced Electrical Design Engineers who are confident producing building services designs and wants to progress technically, without stepping into a senior or managerial position. Key Responsibilities * Produce electrical designs for building services projects across multiple sectors * Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, calculations, and technical documentation * Work closely with senior engineers to deliver coordinated design solutions * Liaise with internal teams and contribute to design coordination meetings * Ensure designs comply with UK standards, regulations, and best practice * Manage your own design tasks and deadlines across multiple projects * Support design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Requirements * Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services * Proven experience in electrical design within a building services or M&E environment * Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design software * Working knowledge of UK electrical standards and building regulations * Able to work independently on design tasks with appropriate support * Good communication skills and a methodical, problem‑solving approach What’s on Offer * Permanent position with a stable and well‑established contractor * Salary of £45,000 – £60,000, dependent on experience * Ongoing technical development and mentoring * Clear progression pathway toward senior design roles (if desired) * Supportive team environment focused on quality and development
