Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: London & Home Counties Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + package Our client is a well-established main contractor delivering high-quality new build, residential, and refurbishment schemes across London and the South East. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their commercial team. The Role You will work alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers across multiple projects, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Assisting with cost planning, procurement, and tendering Supporting subcontractor management and valuations Preparing and reviewing interim applications and final accounts Assisting with variations and cost reporting Liaising with site teams and subcontractors Requirements 1–3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role Experience within new build, residential, and refurbishment projects Degree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar Strong commercial awareness and willingness to learn Package £35,000 – £45,000 salary 25 days annual leave 5% pension Discretionary bonus scheme Clear progression into Quantity Surveyor level
