Design Manager - Facade Remediation

Construction Design Manager   Permanent | London | £80,000 – £90,000 + Package   We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑established Tier 2 Main Contractor with a strong and growing presence across London. Due to a secure pipeline of work, particularly in the cladding remediation sector, our client is seeking an experienced Construction Design Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The majority of projects are cladding and façade‑led remediation schemes across occupied and live environments in Greater London, supported by a broader workload that includes general build, refurbishment and commercial fit‑out projects.   The Role This is a key appointment within the business, working closely with senior leadership, pre‑construction and delivery teams to manage the design process from early stages through to construction. Responsibilities will include: Managing and coordinating the design process on cladding remediation and façade projects across London Ensuring full compliance with current Building Regulations, fire safety legislation and gateway requirements Managing external consultants, façade designers and specialist subcontractors Driving buildability reviews, technical solutions and risk management Coordinating design information to align with programme and commercial objectives Managing RFIs, technical queries and design change through to construction issue Supporting pre‑construction and tender activities where required Candidate Requirements Our client is looking to speak with design managers who can demonstrate: Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager with a main contractor A strong background in cladding remediation / façade works, ideally within London A varied project history including general construction, refurbishment and fit‑out Up‑to‑date knowledge of Building Regulations, fire safety standards and compliance processes Confidence managing multiple stakeholders on complex urban projects Strong communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills Salary & Package £80,000 – £90,000 basic salary, dependent on experience Car allowance or travel allowance Pension and additional benefits Long‑term, stable position with a strong London‑based workload This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable contractor delivering meaningful and technically challenging remediation projects across London, with long‑term progression prospects.
