About the role
HR Officer
Location: Salford
Axon Moore is currently partnering with a leading global logistics business to support on the appointment of an experienced HR professional to join a busy shared service function based in Salford.
This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, supporting managers with people challenges, and helping to build capability across teams through strong HR support, employee relations guidance and development activity.
You’ll have the autonomy to manage your own workload while also being part of a wider HR team that works collaboratively to deliver a consistent and high-quality service across multiple business units.
What the role involves:
This position is heavily focused on supporting managers and employees with day-to-day HR and employee relations matters, ensuring issues are handled fairly, consistently and in line with best practice.
A key part of the role is helping to build manager capability, supporting them through performance conversations, absence management, and general people management challenges.
There is also a strong focus on learning and development activity, supporting the delivery of training initiatives and helping to embed development opportunities across the organisation.
Alongside this, you’ll contribute to wider HR activity including onboarding, policy guidance, HR reporting and system support, ensuring a smooth and effective employee experience.
What we’re looking for:
• Strong HR generalist experience (around 5+ years)
• Confident handling employee relations and advising managers
• Experience supporting performance, absence and wider people management processes
• Interest or experience in learning & development or manager capability
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders
• High attention to detail and confidence working with HR data and systems
• Comfortable managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
• Logistics or shared service experience would be an advantage, but not essential
