This position as an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker in Neath involves providing therapeutic care and support to individuals with Autism and complex needs. You will observe, monitor, and accurately record residents’ conditions, assisting them through their care pathways to promote independence. Treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty is central to this role. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised care tailored to individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide therapeutic care and support to residents with Autism and complex needs
* Observe, monitor, and document residents’ conditions
* Support individuals in their journey towards greater independence
* Ensure all individuals are treated with dignity, respect, and honesty
* Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver tailored care plans
Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a social care setting
* Empathetic, caring, and resilient work approach
* Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Right to work in the UK
* Full UK driving licence
* Ability to fund practical training (e.g., Manual Handling, Buccal, PBM) if not already completed
* Willingness to undertake online training at no cost
