Commercial Manager

Perhaps you’re a grape specialist. Maybe your world is citrus, top fruit, berries, exotics, salads or vegetables. Or perhaps you’re simply a cracking fresh produce commercial all-rounder who knows growers, understands customers and can spot an opportunity from fifty paces. We want to talk to you. Redfox has been exclusively retained by a highly respected and established fresh produce business looking to strengthen and expand its commercial team. But here’s the interesting bit… They aren’t looking to squeeze the right person into a predefined box. The business already has considerable experience across top fruit, citrus and exotics, with an expanding presence in vegetables and salads, alongside importing, grading, packing, storage and nationwide distribution capabilities. We’re therefore interested in talking confidentially to both category specialists and fresh produce generalists who can bring: * Strong fresh produce commercial experience * International grower and supplier relationships * Retail, wholesale and/or foodservice customer knowledge * Outstanding negotiation and relationship-building skills * A genuine understanding of margins, categories and supply chains * The energy and ambition to develop new commercial opportunities This could suit an established Commercial Manager, Category Manager, Procurement/Buying professional or senior fresh produce traders looking for a fresh challenge. And importantly, location is flexible, with hybrid working and travel as required.
