About the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hands-on individual with experience in assembly, repairs, maintenance, or workshop environments.    The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, repairing, assembling, and servicing mobility equipment to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety before reaching customers.    Key Responsibilities Prepare second-hand mobility scooters, powerchairs, and other mobility products for resale. Unbox, assemble, and build new products ready for customer delivery. Carry out pre-delivery inspections on scooters, powerchairs, and mobility equipment. Diagnose and complete repairs accurately and efficiently. Ensure all products are fully tested, quality checked and signed off before dispatch. Maintain high company standards to ensure all equipment is presented in excellent saleable condition. Manage servicing and maintenance of mobility scooters. Order batteries, spare parts, and workshop consumables. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and unexpected challenges. Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and maintain up-to-date service records. Work proactively as part of a motivated workshop team to meet business objectives.       To be considered for the role of Workshop Technician, you will need: Previous experience in a workshop, assembly, repair, maintenance, or technical role. Good mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Customer-focused approach with good communication skills. Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.    Location: Lowestoft, Suffolk Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Hours: 07:30 – 16:30pm Monday to Friday Contract: Temporary to Permanent Why Work Through Hales Group?
