We are looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker with previous experience supporting children or young people who is confident leading shifts and promoting high-quality, person-centred care. Key Responsibilities * Lead shifts in the absence of the Team Leader * Support children and young people using a person-centred approach * Administer medication safely in line with company policies * Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes * Support personal care where required in accordance with individual care plans * Build positive relationships with children, families and professionals * Complete accurate care records and reports * Contribute to care planning, reviews and multidisciplinary meetings * Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed * Maintain the security, safety and cleanliness of the home * Support and mentor colleagues while promoting best practice Requirements * NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential * Previous experience supporting children or young people within a residential care or support environment is essential * Experience leading shifts or supervising staff * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Compassionate, reliable and able to act as a positive role model * Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays * Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location * Applicants must have the Right to Work in the UK.
