Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Major Fit Out & Refurbishment Contractor – City of London
Rate: £300 – £325 per day Outside IR35
O’Neill and Brennan are currently working with a well-established main contractor who are looking to appoint an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, working on major fit out and refurbishment projects across the City of London.
The successful candidate will work on projects ranging from approximately £20m – £40m, taking responsibility for a range of commercial duties and working closely with the wider project and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery.
The role will initially be offered on a contract basis, however there is strong potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate. With a strong pipeline of work and multiple projects ongoing, there is also excellent long-term security available on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with approximately 3–4 years' experience to join a well-established contractor and gain exposure to large-scale, high-value fit out and refurbishment projects in the City of London.

Responsibilities:
Supporting the commercial management of major fit out and refurbishment projects
Managing subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
Preparing subcontract enquiries, tender analysis and recommendations for award
Managing valuations, payments, variations and final accounts
Monitoring project costs and maintaining accurate commercial reporting
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
Working closely with project managers, construction teams and the wider commercial team
Requirements:
Approximately 3–4 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Experience within fit out, refurbishment, cut & carve or a similar environment
Main contracting experience, ideally with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
Strong commercial awareness and good communication skills
Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial processes
A proactive approach with the ability to work effectively within a project team
