Lead Licensing Officer

I am currently assisting my client in the Southwest identify a Lead Licensing Officer to support them for the next 6 months. * Role: Lead Licensing Officer * Rate: Negotiable * Hours: 21hrs per week * Working Pattern: Hybrid * Start Date: ASAP Key responsibilities: * Lead and manage the Council's licensing function * Lead risk – based compliance, investigations and enforcement action * Conduct inspections of Licensed premises and vehicles to ensure compliance with licenced condition * Process all types of licensing applications and temporary event notices * Investigate complaints and support enforcement action where necessary * Prepare reports of Licensing Sub -Committee hearings and attend hearings Essential skills: * Strong knowledge of Licensing Act 2003 * Experience leading a function, project or service area * Vast experience in preparing reports and attending Licensing Sub – Committee hearings. * Knowledge of enforcement principles, investigations, evidence requirements and relevant legal frameworks such as PACE. * Fully qualified to carry out animal licensing inspections If this opportunity seems like a suitable fit for yourself, feel free to give me a call for a confidential chat or drop me an email
