Job Title Associate Fire Engineer Location East Midlands Salary £65,000 - £80,000 Employment Type Permanent Job Overview Associate Fire Engineer role within the fire safety sector based in Birmingham, offering hybrid working. The position focuses on leading fire engineering delivery across complex built environment projects, including external wall fire risk assessments and remediation programmes. Suitable for experienced candidates at senior or associate level, this role combines technical leadership, client advisory, and team development within a multidisciplinary environment. Role & Responsibilities You will oversee project delivery and provide strategic input across fire safety schemes. The role includes leadership of technical outputs, mentoring team members, and supporting client relationships. Lead fire engineering and EWS assessments Oversee compliance and technical outputs Provide strategic fire safety advice Mentor engineers across the team Review and approve technical reportsSkills & Experience Required You will have strong consultancy experience within fire safety and detailed knowledge of UK legislation. Experience leading teams and managing complex projects is essential. Experience in fire engineering consultancy Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation Degree in engineering or related field Chartered or working toward chartership Strong leadership and client skillsSalary & Benefits £65,000 - £80,000 depending on experience, plus car allowance.
