Lead Quantity Surveyor

A high-end residential developer is seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor to join their South London team. The Lead Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering structured quantity surveying services across super-prime residential developments, ensuring strong commercial oversight and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. This Lead Quantity Surveyor position will involve leading core commercial activities across luxury residential schemes while also managing and mentoring a small team of junior Quantity Surveyors, ensuring consistent quantity surveying standards across multiple high-value developments. The Role As the Lead Quantity Surveyor you will take responsibility for the commercial performance of projects from pre-construction through to final account, while overseeing and supporting a small commercial team. The role will include: Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets and feasibility studies * Leading tender documentation and contract preparation * Managing subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations * Monitoring valuations, variations and change control * Leading risk management and value engineering processes * Overseeing interim valuations and final account agreements * Producing financial and progress reports for senior management * Managing and mentoring junior Quantity SurveyorsThe Lead Quantity Surveyor? You will be commercially astute, highly organised and confident operating within a high-end residential construction environment while providing leadership to junior team members.
