Fire Alarm Engineer East London PAYE £45,000–£52,000 (Self Employment available) A fantastic opportunity has opened with a well‑established FM service provider operating across London. Magenta is seeking an Fire Alarm Engineer to support a portfolio of seven luxury residential developments, primarily around the Canary Wharf area. This ideal candidate must have experience with fire alarm systems (install or maintenance). AOV install and maintenance experience also preferred but courses may be available should they be required. Where possible, access control and intercom jobs are also present if able to assist. Package & Working Hours * Salary: £45,000–£52,000 * Travel Allowance: £160 per month * Hours: * Monday–Thursday: 07:30–17:00 * Friday: 07:30–16:00 * Holiday: 24 days + bank holidays * Private healthcare (After 3-month Probation) * Overtime opportunities * Further training available * Company pension Key Responsibilities * Carrying out fire alarm PPMs across residential buildings. * Completing all remedial works identified through PPMs and inspections. * Testing, commissioning, and fault-finding on fire alarm and life safety systems. * Undertaking routine fire alarm testing and certification. * Servicing and maintaining a range of fire and life safety systems including: * Conventional and addressable fire alarm systems * Emergency lighting interfaces * Fire panels, detectors, sounders, and call points * Ensuring all work complies with current British Standards and fire safety regulations. * Providing clear service reports and communicating recommendations to site management and clients. Requirements * Fire alarm qualification (e.g. FIA Units or equivalent) * AOV experience very desirable * Strong background working on fire alarm systems within building services or FM environments * Experience carrying out fire alarm PPMs, repairs, testing, and fault-finding * Knowledge of BS 5839 and fire safety compliance * Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates * Ability to work independently across multiple sites * Strong problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills For more information contact Sam
