Civil Chargehand - National Grid Susbtation Projects (400kV) Location: Pembroke 400kV Substation, Wales Start Date: 27/04/2026 Duration: Until 30/10/2026 Hours: 45 hours per week (07:30 - 17:30) Rate: £32 per hour IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Ltd Company not permitted) Type: Temporary Contract Positions Available: 1 Reason: Additional Capacity Role Overview: We are currently looking for an experienced Civil Chargehand to join works on a live National Grid 400kV substation project at Pembroke. This is a key supervisory role requiring strong experience working within high-voltage environments and strict adherence to National Grid safety procedures. Requirements: Essential: Competent Person (NSI 6 & 8 Full) HSG47 (CAT 1 & CAT 2) Experience working on live HV substations Strong understanding of substation access control & safety compliance Manual Handling Full PPE (required prior to site access)Key Responsibilities: Managing safe access and egress within a live HV substation environment Overseeing delivery vehicles and plant movement on site Ensuring compliance with National Grid NSI Safety Rules Supervising and supporting groundworks activities in line with project scope Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and site disciplinePlease do not apply if you do not hold the required National Grid competencies and tickets.
