About the role
We are working with a well-established pump rental provider delivering temporary and engineered pumping solutions across the construction, water, and environmental sectors nationwide.
They are now seeking a Territory Manager to drive business growth across the Midlands region, ideally based around Burton on Trent or the wider Wolverhampton area.
This is a field-based sales role focused on developing new and existing client relationships, identifying project opportunities, and delivering technically sound pumping solutions that maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and grow a portfolio of clients across the Midlands region
* Build strong relationships with customers through regular site visits and meetings
* Identify new project opportunities and engage early to understand customer requirements
* Promote pumping solutions and match products to specific client applications
* Manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion including technical and commercial aspects
* Prepare and deliver accurate quotations balancing profitability and long-term relationships
* Monitor customer spend and identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts
* Collaborate with internal teams including operations, hire desk, and technical solutions
* Deliver professional presentations and maintain a high level of product knowledge
* Maintain accurate sales data and reporting through internal systems
* Ensure all activities align with health and safety and company procedures
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in a field-based sales role within hire, construction, water, or related industries
* Strong commercial awareness with experience driving growth and profitability
* Ability to build relationships and influence customers at all levels
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to present professionally
* Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Self-motivated and driven to exceed targets
* IT literate with experience using CRM or sales systems and Microsoft Office
* Understanding of pump hire or equipment hire advantageous
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Midlands region
Summary
Position: Territory Manager
Location: Midlands (Wolverhampton / Burton on Trent area)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 - includes Bonus + Company Car
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start: Notice dependent
