Repairs Planner – Temporary Contract (Until June 2026) Location: Hitchin Rate: £15 per hour Start: ASAP We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading repairs and maintenance contractor for an experienced Repairs Planner to join their busy team based in Hitchin. This is a temporary contract running until June 2026, offering a great opportunity to work with a well-established organisation in the sector. The Role: As a Repairs Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating and scheduling maintenance and repair works, ensuring efficient use of resources and excellent service delivery to clients and residents. Key Responsibilities: Scheduling and allocating repair works to operatives and subcontractors Managing diaries and ensuring appointments are met within SLAs Liaising with tenants, clients, and engineers to coordinate works Handling inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner Updating internal systems with accurate job and status information Resolving scheduling issues and reacting to emergencies as required Requirements: Previous experience in a planning/scheduling role (ideally within repairs, housing, or maintenance) Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Competent IT skills and experience using scheduling systems What’s on Offer: Competitive hourly rate of £15 per hour Long-term temporary contract until June 2026 Opportunity to work with a reputable contractor Supportive and team-oriented working environment If you are an organised and proactive planner looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
