About the role
*Buyer*
Our client a leading manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit a *Buyer* to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the spare parts department and be responsible for ensuring a steady supply chain of parts and components required for the business.
*The Role*
* Responsible for ensuring products required for the department are available
* Negotiate with suppliers on prices and lead times
* Building strong working relationships with suppliers
* Raising purchase orders and scheduling deliveries
* Monitor part delivery status and follow up on late and overdue orders
* Attending team meetings and providing updates
* Monitoring stock levels and identify critical items
* Other relevant duties
*Essential Criteria*
* A minimum of 2 (+) years experience in a similar role
* Excellent computer and communication skills
* Competent in thinking on your feet and making decisions
* A positive can-do attitude towards work
* Previous experience in working with a MRP system
