We are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for a *Senior* *Buyer* to join their team. The successful candidate will work with the aftersales department ensuring parts and components required for the business are available.

*The Role*

* Source for various parts, components and materials
* Negotiate prices and lead times for products and secure favourable terms for the business
* Liaise with suppliers and schedule deliveries according to production schedule
* Ensure all specification requirements are met for purchased products
* Develop, improve and build strong supplier relationships
* Monitor supplier performance and address any reoccurring issues
* Involved in various cost saving projects for the business
* Reviewing part and component usage and adjust min and max stock holdings
* Other relevant duties

*Essential Criteria*

* A minimum (3) years + experience in a purchasing / procurement role
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
* Previous experience in working with a MRP system
* Willingness to learn and develop skills
