Part-Time Grill Chef Location: Hove Pay: £15 per hour Hours: Part-time, with the opportunity for additional hours Contract: To be confirmed Start date: To be confirmed Placr Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Grill Chef to join a busy and friendly restaurant team in Hove. This is a hands-on position for someone who is confident working on a grill, enjoys being part of a team and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality food. The role is initially part-time, with the possibility of additional hours becoming available as it develops. The role You will prepare and cook food to a consistently high standard while operating the grill confidently during busy services. You will ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time, complete food preparation before and during service and monitor portion control, food quality and presentation. The role will also involve maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen, following all food hygiene and health and safety procedures and supporting other members of the kitchen team when required. You may also assist with opening, closing and cleaning duties while communicating effectively with the wider restaurant team. About you To be considered, you should have: * Previous experience working as a chef or within a commercial kitchen * Confidence and experience working on a grill during busy services * Good organisation and the ability to remain calm under pressure * A dependable, punctual and hardworking approach * An understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety * Flexibility regarding working hours and additional shifts A relevant food hygiene qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
