Are you an experienced Electronic or Systems Engineer with a background in Sensors, Navigation, or related fields? Our client, a leading Defence organisation based in Bristol, is looking for a Contract Senior Electronic Systems & Sensors Engineer to join their team.

Working on a hybrid basis, you'll be based in Bristol with the flexibility of 2 to 3 days per week onsite, supporting the delivery of defined electronic and mechatronic outcomes within a vital Defence programme.
The contract is initially until March 2027, with the potential for long term extension.
The role offers a day rate between £420 and £570 (inside IR35) .
What youll be doing Specifying ESS requirements and defining technical artefacts, including considerations for in-service support and associated costs.
Assessing technical hazards and project impacts, contributing to risk mitigation strategies and their documentation.
Managing the design of systems, components, or processes that satisfy customer needs within agreed constraints of time, cost, and performance.
Overseeing the verification, validation, testing, and evaluation of ESS systems.
Providing expertise in PNT and GNSS technologies, advising on best practices, and supporting operational activities.
What were looking for Held a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics qualification at RQF Level 4 or above.
Broad experience in delivering electronic or mechatronic solutions, with a proven track record in successful project delivery and technical advice.
Professional registration as an IEng, RSci, RMarTech, Adv RITTech, or CPhys.
Experience related to PNT technologies and/or GNSS would be highly advantageous.
SC clearance is essential; DV clearance would be a strong asset.
