Transport Planner Ballymena £35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Monday to Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm Occasional Saturday cover may be required Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking to take the next step in your career within a fast-paced logistics operation? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading transport and distribution business seeking a Transport Planner to oversee daily planning activities within a busy Groupage operation. This is a key operational role that offers the opportunity to combine hands-on planning responsibilities with team leadership and operational support. The role Oversee daily transport planning activities across the Groupage operation. Coordinate vehicle routing, load planning and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency. Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Monitor and maintain delivery performance, service levels and operational KPIs. Manage reactive planning issues, route amendments and operational challenges. Support compliance initiatives and promote best practice across the transport function. Assist management with reporting, analysis and continuous improvement projects. You will need Previous experience within a Transport Planning role. Strong understanding of UK and Ireland transport operations. Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS). Proactive approach with the ability to make decisions under pressure Experience within Groupage, Pallet Network or General Haulage operations. Understanding of transport compliance, driver regulations and operational KPIs. Competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000. Opportunity to progress within a growing logistics business.
