SEMH Learning Support Assistant - Behaviour & Pastoral Focus

Salary: £85 - £105 per day Location: Gloucester Full-time: 8:30am - 4:00pm Start Date: ASAP

Academics are recruiting for an SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision in Gloucester. As an SEMH Learning Support Assistant in Gloucester, you will:

  • Support students with SEMH, behavioural needs, and trauma-related challenges
  • Build strong, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
  • Use de-escalation techniques and restorative practice approaches
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on behaviour and wellbeing
  • Work alongside teaching and pastoral teams to implement behaviour support plans
  • Promote positive behaviour, resilience, and self-confidence
