Print Finisher

Job title: Print Finisher Job type: Temporary to Permanent Location: Hertford Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5pm Hourly rate: £15.30-16.30 per hour    Our fast growing client based in Hertford are looking for a Print Finisher to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of finishing processes to ensure all printed materials meet their high-quality standards and client specifications.    Main duties as a Print Finisher: Set up and operate a range of print finishing equipment, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards. Carry out precision cutting using guillotine machinery. Produce professionally finished books, brochures and printed materials using PUR binding equipment. Operate die-cutting machinery to create bespoke printed products. Complete saddle stitching of booklets and other bound materials. Perform folding, laminating, creasing, perforating and additional finishing processes as required. Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the finishing process to ensure accuracy and consistency. Package completed jobs and prepare them for distribution and delivery. Carry out routine equipment checks and report any maintenance or operational issues.      Skills & Experience required: Previous experience within a print finishing or print production environment. Hands-on experience operating guillotines, PUR binding machines, die-cutters and saddle stitching equipment. Strong understanding of print production processes and finishing techniques. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to prioritise workload and consistently meet production deadlines. Well-organised with strong time management skills. Good knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing or print environment.
