Clerk of Works Property & Construction Consultancy A well established and growing property and construction consultancy are looking for an experienced Clerk of Works to join their expanding team.

The Role You will work closely with project teams across a range of new build and refurbishment schemes, predominantly within the residential sector.
The role will involve regular site based inspections, ensuring works are delivered in line with contractual requirements, technical standards and fire safety regulations.
Key duties will include conducting site inspections, monitoring quality and compliance and producing detailed inspection reports using digital systems.
You will also carry out snagging inspections ahead of Practical Completion and issue defect reports where required.
Key Responsibilities Quality & Compliance Undertake regular site inspections to monitor construction quality and compliance Review contractor works against drawings, specifications, Building Regulations and warranty standards Identify defects, non-compliance and areas of risk, recommending corrective actions Fire Safety Oversight Review construction activities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards Assess fire safety elements including fire doors, fire stopping, sprinkler systems, masonry and drylining Review and provide input on fire safety designs, materials and installation practices Reporting & Documentation Produce clear and detailed inspection reports following each site visit Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings and corrective actions Ensure documentation is current, organised and accessible Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with employer requirements Attend project meetings and contribute to quality assurance discussions Support site teams with guidance on best practice and compliance Training & Awareness Promote a culture of quality and safety across project teams Provide practical support and advice to site personnel About You Minimum of 5 years experience within the construction industry Background in a technical discipline or trade (preferred) Experience in Clerk of Works, Fire Protection Inspection, or similar role Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations, particularly fire safety (including Approved Document B and relevant British Standards such as BS 9999 / BS 9991) Experience with faade remediation and higher risk buildings is advantageous Familiarity with fire door inspections and passive fire protection Qualifications & Memberships (desirable): Relevant qualification in Construction, Fire Safety, or a related field Professional memberships such as ICWCI, MCIOB, or IFE Certifications such as NEBOSH, FPA, or equivalent Whats on Offer Salary up to £65k DOE Opportunity to join a respected and growing consultancy Supportive leadership and collaborative working culture Clear career progression and potential for future leadership responsibility Diverse project portfolio across multiple sectors Competitive salary and benefits package, tailored to experience Ongoing commitment to training, CPD, and professional development This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to join a forward-thinking consultancy with strong growth ambitions and a reputation for quality and integrity. xwzovoh
