An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Policy, Strategy & Partnerships Officer to join a forward-thinking London local authority on an initial 6-month contract. This role sits within a central policy and improvement function, supporting senior leadership to drive strategic priorities, partnership working, and organisational change.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with public sector experience who enjoys working across policy development, stakeholder engagement, and corporate projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of corporate policies, strategies, and improvement plans
• Provide policy advice and briefing support to senior leadership and elected members
• Contribute to and help coordinate strategic partnerships and cross-organisational initiatives
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and external organisations
• Research, analyse, and present findings through reports, briefings, and presentations

Key Requirements

• Experience within policy, strategy, or partnerships in a public sector or similar setting
• Good understanding of local government or public sector environments
• Strong written xwzovoh and verbal communication skills, including report writing
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

Contract Details

• Initial 6-month contract
• £300 per day (Umbrella)
• Hybrid working (office and remote split)
• Immediate or short-notice start preferred
• Flexibility required for occasional meetings outside standard hours
