Are you a Multiskilled Automation Engineer who enjoys keeping highly automated equipment running at peak performance? Do you thrive on fault finding, problem solving and identifying improvements that reduce downtime and increase reliability? Would you like to work in a state-of-the-art automated distribution centre supporting one of the worlds most recognised supply chains?
Join GXO as a Multiskilled Automation Engineer at our Avonmouth site supporting the Amazon contract. You'll maintain and improve a highly automated operation featuring roller conveyor networks and Intralox sorter technology , helping to maximise reliability, performance and uptime. From preventative maintenance and fault finding to continuous improvement projects, you'll play a key role in keeping the operation running safely and efficiently. This is a full time, permanent, position. Working hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:00.

Were looking to offer a salary of up to £50,000.00 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What youll do on a typical day:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance to keep automated equipment operating safely and efficiently
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control system faults to minimise downtime
Complete maintenance records, reports and documentation using the site CMMS system
Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades and engineering initiatives across the site
What you need to succeed at GXO:
NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition Electrical certification, plus IOSH managing safely
Experience working in an automated engineering, manufacturing, logistics or maintenance environment
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, with a pro-active approach to problem solving
A safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and drive continuous improvement
