📍 Location: Bristol - Hybrid (3 days in the office, with occasional site visits)
💰 Rate: Up to £250 per day PAYE / £340 per day Umbrella (DOE)

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an IPCM Engineer to support a major infrastructure programme within the nuclear sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive professional with experience in configuration management, project controls, systems engineering or programme delivery to contribute to a complex, multidisciplinary project.
Working closely with programme management and a range of technical stakeholders, you will play a key role in coordinating configuration management activities, maintaining accurate programme information and supporting effective governance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and consolidate end-to-end configuration management information across the programme.
Support configuration governance activities, including preparing board packs, presentations, meeting minutes, action trackers and decision records.
Lead monthly configuration status reporting, collecting, validating and analysing data, KPIs, risks and programme impacts.
Identify and assess configuration differences and deviations across design, build and commissioning baselines.
Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Commissioning, Nuclear Safety, Project Controls and Delivery teams to ensure consistent reporting and effective communication.
Support assurance, compliance and audit activities, including self-assessments and improvement initiatives.
Monitor actions and commitments, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes and configuration management practices.
About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience in Configuration Management, Project Controls, Systems Engineering, PMO or Programme Management.
Strong analytical skills, with experience collecting, validating and interpreting data.
Experience preparing management reports, dashboards, governance packs and action trackers.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with Power BI experience desirable.
A degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Configuration Management, Project Management, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience within the nuclear, defence, major infrastructure or other regulated industries would be advantageous.
