Project Manager – Groundworks & Civil Engineering Location: Glasgow, Scotland Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Role We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a busy groundworks and civil engineering environment in Glasgow. The successful candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering, with experience managing projects involving stabilisation, drainage, demolition and foundations. You will be responsible for managing projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget. Key Responsibilities * Manage groundworks and civil engineering projects from inception through to completion. * Plan and coordinate site operations, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors. * Manage projects involving ground stabilisation and remediation. * Oversee drainage, excavation and associated civil engineering works. * Manage demolition and enabling works. * Oversee foundation and substructure packages. * Develop and monitor project programmes and delivery schedules. * Manage project budgets, costs and commercial performance. * Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams. * Liaise with clients, consultants and other project stakeholders. * Monitor quality, progress and site performance. * Ensure projects comply with health, safety and environmental requirements. * Manage project documentation, reports and progress meetings. * Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on programme. * Ensure successful completion and handover of projects. Experience & Requirements * Proven experience as a Project Manager within groundworks, civil engineering or construction. * Strong practical experience across groundworks and foundations. * Experience with ground stabilisation, drainage and demolition. * Good understanding of excavation, foundations and substructure works. * Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and suppliers. * Strong programme and project management skills. * Commercially aware with experience monitoring project costs. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Strong understanding of construction health and safety requirements. * Relevant construction qualification is desirable. * SMSTS and CSCS required or advantageous depending on experience. * Full UK driving licence
