Delivery Lead

• Contract Duration: Until 26 March 2027 (with likely extension)

Join our team at Reed Professional Services, a management consultancy specialising in IT and financial services. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Lead to support the transformation of a major UK postal service provider’s Channels Value Stream. This role is crucial as the business transitions to a product-led operating model and requires a professional who can lead complex programmes and coach teams towards agile methodologies.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead delivery across multiple agile product teams, typically involving 3 delivery teams.
• Drive programme and delivery governance across a complex enterprise environment.
• Act as a change leader, helping teams transition to a mature product and agile operating model.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies, risks, financials, and governance activities across multiple workstreams.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Technology, Product, and Platform functions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance flow, delivery effectiveness, and team maturity.
• Balance modern agile delivery principles with the governance requirements of a large-scale enterprise environment.
• Lead delivery through influence rather than direct authority.
• Champion continuous delivery practices within stable, long-term teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience at Programme Manager, Release Train Engineer (RTE), or Senior Delivery Lead level.
• Strong track record in delivering within large, complex enterprise organisations.
• Experience leading multiple delivery teams simultaneously.
• Experience driving agile transformation and organisational change.
• Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate comfortably within both traditional governance structures and modern agile environments.
• Experience in programme financial management, governance, and service introduction activities.
