We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.
We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our
Demand management and network infrastructure team.
We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?
You’ll install, exchange, and maintain smart water meters in domestic and commercial premises. You’ll carry out plumbing modifications, complete documentation and risk assessments, and ensure first‑time‑right installation. You’ll maintain tools and equipment, work both indoors and outdoors in all weather, and operate in confined spaces and on uneven ground. You’ll promote health, safety, and a clean working environment. You’ll liaise professionally with customers, adhere to schedules, support audits and ongoing training, and flexibly respond to callouts or weekend work, ensuring productivity and quality at every stage.
What you’ll bring
Proven plumbing experience, ideally within metering or utilities
Ability to carry out pipework adjustments, meter exchanges, and minor repairs
Are you customer-focused, with strong communication skills and attention to detail?
Can you work independently, manage your daily route, and confidently use apps and job management systems?
A valid UK driving licence is essential
