Project Engineer

Urgent Hiring: Freelance Project Engineer (RC Frame & Groundworks) – London BIR is currently recruiting an experienced Freelance Project Engineer with strong project management experience to oversee an RC Frame & Groundworks project based in London. This is an urgent requirement, and the successful candidate may be able to start immediately. The Role As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for: * Managing the project in line with the construction programme * Overseeing and managing all setting-out works * Ensuring quality assurance standards are maintained * Managing labour, plant, and materials efficiently * Managing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) compliance on site and promoting a strong safety culture * Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to the Quantity Surveyor and senior management team * Supporting the successful delivery of projects within budget and programme targets Requirements To be considered for this position, you must have: Minimum 5–6 years' experience working on RC Frame & Groundworks projects Proven ability to manage projects valued between £1 million and £3 million Valid CSCS and SMSTS certification Strong experience managing site labour and subcontractors Ability to use Leica TS16 surveying equipment Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills What We Offer * Competitive freelance rate * Immediate start available * Opportunity to work on exciting London-based projects * Potential for ongoing work with future projects * Career progression opportunities within a growing and reputable company Interested?
