About the role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our Brick and Block Haulage department. Drivers will be expected to travel around the country to deliver customer goods in a safe an professional manner. The position is available from our Bideford, Exeter, Wrangaton and Caldicot depots. This is for a Artic or Lorry and Drag type vehicle and includes nights out.

Key Skill Requirements for driver

Deliver customers good in a professional and friendly manner
Ensure the most direct truck friendly route is taken
Ensure the vehicle is safe and fit to be on the road by carrying out adequate daily checks.
Work within the tachograph and working time directive laws
Ensure all PODs are captured accurately
Able to work on own initiative and part of a team
Report any issues effectively and promptly to management
Be able to work to a productive nature.
Able to make confident decisions and manage responsibilities effectively.
Operate mobile plant safely and responsibly, completing daily checks and reporting defects.
Load customers safely and efficiently.
