Buying Manager

CSS Recruitment are looking for an experienced Buying Manager for one of our clients to manage a team of 3 Buyers. If you have experience managing a buying team this is a great opportunity... We are looking for someone who posesses good negotiation skills, preferably roofing or cladding buying experience. Experience and technical skills in construction and procurement, such as the ability to read construction drawings & undertake take-offs is helpful. Key Skills * Commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise pricing and commercial terms. * Being able to forward plan for multiple projects and proritise workload across long-lead and real time demands. * Able to identify potential supply problems and solutions. * Interpersonal skills - Strong at building relationships and great communication. * Taking ownership and collaborates to deliver team and company objectives. * Implement and manage business processes and procedures. * Able to undertake take offs (advantageous, training will be given).
