As they enter a new phase of growth, they're looking for a dynamic Finance & Commercial Director to help shape their future. /n This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose‑driven organisation with the agility of a commercial business and the values of the NHS. You'll sit at the heart of a newly restructured Board, leading financial strategy, commercial performance, and long‑term sustainability across a diverse portfolio of estates, facilities, sustainability, medical engineering and capital project services. /n What you'll lead /n /n - Long‑term financial strategy, planning and reporting. /n - Commercial strategy, contract performance and negotiations. /n - Business development and growth opportunities. /n - Governance, assurance and risk management. /n - Efficiency, transformation and value‑for‑money programmes. /n /n What you'll bring /n /n - A professional accountancy qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW). /n - Senior financial leadership experience in a contract‑driven environment. /n - Strong commercial acumen and experience managing FM/estates contracts. /n - A collaborative, values‑driven approach aligned with public‑service ethos. /n - Experience working with public‑sector clients - ideally the NHS. /n - Demonstrates and champions Vital Services and BWC NHSFT values - ambitious, brave, compassionate. /n - Operates with integrity, transparency, and commercial discipline. /n /n Why join? /n You'll help steer a growing organisation that plays a vital role in supporting safe, effective healthcare for women, children and families across Birmingham.
