Assistant Accountant

We are working with an established organisation in South Cambridge is looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to support the finance function across a range of day-to-day accounting activities. This would suit an organised finance professional looking to develop their experience within a broad accounting role. Key Responsibilities * Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting * Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions, including reconciliations * Supporting bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations * Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures * Providing general support to the wider finance team as required Candidate Requirements * Previous experience in an accounts or finance role * Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles * Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work * Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team This is a good opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to broaden their experience and continue developing their accounting career.
