About the role

The Role Quantity Surveyor Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work across a range of construction projects, supporting both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities while working closely with operational and management teams.

Key Responsibilities Pre-Contract Duties Take off quantities for tendering purposes where required Assist the Estimating department with tender preparation Carry out estimating duties as required Support budget setting and cost planning Review contracts and contractual documentation Post-Contract Duties Appointment and management of subcontractors and labour-only subcontractors Preparation of valuations and cost value reconciliation reports Carry out cost investigations and reporting Measurement and agreement of subcontract accounts Identify, measure, and agree project variations Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities Monitor monthly cash flow against budget forecasts Provide contractual and commercial advice to management Measurement and agreement of final accounts Attend site meetings and present financial reports Prepare subcontractor payments in line with CIS and VAT requirements Provide monthly and quarterly cost/valuation reports to accounts and management teams Ensure subcontractor insurances comply with contractual requirements Produce management reports and commercial updates as required Candidate Requirements Minimum 3 years Quantity Surveying experience within a construction contracting environment Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Strong knowledge of NEC, JCT and FIDIC forms of contract Experience preparing and managing contractual claims Knowledge of Conquest estimating packages preferred Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver projects within budget Up-to-date knowledge of pricing trends xwzovoh and inflation impacts Advanced Microsoft Office and IT skills Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines Flexibility to travel across the UK where required Whats on Offer Competitive salary package starting from £40,000 (DOE) Full-time permanent position Opportunity to work on a variety of construction projects Career progression and professional development support Company Pension Annual Leave To Apply If you are interested in this position, please apply below.
