About the role

The PostBased in the Research, Innovation, Business and Engagement (RIBE) directorate the CRD Programme Manager will support the ongoing development and delivery of the University of Stirling (UoS) projects funded through the of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal (CRD). The post holder will lead and manage the development, collection, analysis and reporting of information relating to the activities, finances, outputs, outcomes, and benefits delivered through the University’s City Region and Growth Deal Programme. They will analyse the Programme’s performance and support the ongoing development and operation of the Programme, reporting to the Head of the City Region and Growth Deal Programme, and working with the wider Research, Innovation & Business Engagement Directorate, other Professional Services, and Academic Faculties, developing and leading activities accordingly. They will ensure that the reporting and other information requirements of University and Deal governance are complied with and work as a point of liaison with Deal stakeholders including the Scottish and UK Governments, local authorities, communities, and other delivery partners. They will work closely with all Project leads, as well as colleagues from Academic Faculties and Professional Services. The role holder will also have line management responsibility for the Programme’s administration function.Description of DutiesDesign, lead and manage the development and delivery of the University of Stirling (UoS) element of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal (CRD)Monitor and report on benefit realisation related to the UoS CRD projectsLead the coordination and preparation of information, reports, submissions, and responses to meet UK and Scottish Government and other Deal governance requirementsEnsure robust governance structures and processes are in place to manage and monitor project delivery against agreed outcomesProvide regular reports on programme delivery to the UoS Programme BoardManage the preparation of briefing papers, reports, and other information as required on issues relating to the ProgrammeOversee effective project and programme delivery and to ensure consistent approaches to project planning, financial management, risk management, and other areas of Deal operationsOversee outreach activities with benefits stakeholders to maximise engagement in the Programme and its constituent ProjectsLiaise with academic colleagues leading activities aligned to CRD deliveryLead engagement with internal and external stakeholders as requiredOversee communications with internal and external stakeholders, and liaise with Communications, Recruitment and Marketing (CRM) colleagues over CRD content and campaignsManage the support, as required, for appropriate working groups within Projects, ensuring that agreed actions are implementedUndertake any other duties as may be required, in line with the grade and nature of the role, as directed by the Head of City Region & Growth Deal ProgrammeEssential CriteriaEducated to degree level or equivalent, or employment experience across a range of roles with increasing levels of responsibilitySubstantial practical experience in a directly relevant roleExperience of working successfully within complex regulations/frameworksCompetence and experience to design and deliver innovative and accurate methods of monitoring and evidence gathering for reporting purposesProven ability to gather evidence and data from a wide range of sources and recognises and accurately interprets patterns, trends and key issuesAbility to initiate processes and procedures to resolve new problems and challenges, with the ability to anticipate potential implementation difficulties and identify practical ways of overcoming and preventing themProven ability to provide clear advice and guidanceProven ability to initiate strategies, work plans, processes and procedures to advance large scale work programmesHighly organised with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to delivery within specified deadlinesStrong financial acumenAbility to consider the wider impact of decision and assess likelihood of possible outcomes and using judgment to inform decisionsProven ability to provide effective relationship management with internal and external stakeholders such as faculties, governments, businesses, local authorities, research and innovation funders, and other external partner organisationsExcellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to use varying styles appropriate to different individuals, groups or sitationsAbility to work independently, as part of a busy team and also within collaborative contextsStrong commitment to operational excellence and customer care/relationship managementIT skills, including Microsoft Office 365Desirable CriteriaRelevant postgraduate degreeProfessional training, potentially with a formal qualification from a professional bodyParticipation with relevant networks, groups, and bodiesAdditional InformationFull timeOpen endedThe closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 11 October 2026.Interviews are expected to take place on Thursday 05 November 2026.There is an expectation that work will be undertaken in the UK.
