What you’ll get * Competitive salary (DOE) + enhanced overtime rates and allowances when deployed * 25 days + Bank Holidays * Enhanced pension * Life assurance * Home-based when not travelling * Join a leading business with strong culture and growth About You * Time-served Mechanical Engineer or holding a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering * Experienced Mechanical Field Service Engineer with a background in the assembly or servicing of industrial machinery * Confident working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems * Able to read and understand mechanical assembly drawings * Happy travelling regularly throughout the UK and overseas * Able to work independently with minimal supervision and to tight schedules * Valid UK Driving Licence About the role * A key part of the role will be commissioning and maintaining machinery across UK and global customer sites * You’ll carry out emergency repairs, maintenance and service work on customer equipment * As part of the role, you’ll commission new machinery and equipment on site * You’ll supervise contractors during larger installation and commissioning projects * Delivering on-site training to customer personnel covering routine maintenance and service tasks * You’ll produce clear technical reports detailing work carried out and recommendations for further action * You’ll liaise directly with internal Engineering and Production teams regarding issues identified on site * When you’re not travelling, you’ll support factory-based maintenance, machine assembly and repair operations when required About the Company * Global engineering leader * A well-established business that is passionate about its products – they strive to provide the best service to all customers * Long-standing, stable workforce * They encourage ongoing training and development
