We are working exclusively with a well-established international engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Payroll & HR Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to develop practical experience across payroll, HR administration, pensions, employee records and reporting.
You don't need to have experience across all of these areas. What matters is that you're numerate, organised, detail-focused and genuinely interested in developing a career within Payroll and HR.
About the role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll become an important part of the HR function, supporting the accurate and confidential administration of payroll and employee information.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the accurate processing of employee payroll
- Maintaining payroll and employee records
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting year-end payroll processes, including tax, National Insurance and P11D administration
- Processing wage arrestments and employee documentation requests
- Maintaining accurate holiday and absence records
- Preparing payroll and worked-hours reports for the Finance team
- Supporting pension administration
- Maintaining confidential HR records in line with GDPR
- Providing day-to-day HR administration support to employees and managers
- Preparing reports and information for internal departments
- Supporting improvements to HR and payroll processes
- Coordinating travel arrangements when required
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops
Who we're looking for
This role could suit someone coming from a number of different backgrounds.
You could be a recent graduate with a degree in HR, Business, Finance, Accounting or a related subject who is looking for the opportunity to put your studies into practice.
You could already have some HR or payroll experience and be looking for a role where you can broaden your knowledge and develop across both disciplines.
