Accounts & Tax Senior

I'm delighted to be working with a highly regarded accountancy and advisory practice to recruit an Accounts & Tax Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant or experienced practice professional seeking a varied role with strong client exposure and a clear pathway towards management.

Working as part of an established team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting and tax assignments while supporting an impressive portfolio of local businesses and entrepreneurial clients.

The Role

This is a client-facing position offering a blend of accounts preparation, tax compliance and advisory work within a modern and progressive practice environment.

What You Will Do

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for a diverse client base.

• Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns.

• Review bookkeeping and VAT work.

• Assist with management accounts preparation.

• Support clients with day-to-day accounting and tax queries.

• Develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

• Work closely with senior management on advisory assignments.

• Assist in mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, part-qualified nearing completion, or qualified by experience.

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.

• Strong accounts preparation skills.

• Experience preparing tax returns and compliance work.

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to manage workloads and deadlines effectively.
