We are looking for a talented and hands-on Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a quality country inn in North Yorkshire.
This is a great opportunity for a strong Sous Chef, or an experienced Junior Sous Chef ready to step up, who enjoys fresh food, local ingredients and working in a busy, friendly kitchen.
You will support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, help lead the team through service and play a key role in maintaining standards, consistency and kitchen organisation.
This role would suit someone who enjoys proper British cooking, takes pride in their section and wants to be part of a supportive food-led business.

What were looking for Previous Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef experience
A genuine passion for fresh food
Confident supporting a small kitchen team
Good organisation and communication skills
High standards of cleanliness and presentation
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Calm, reliable and hands-on under pressure
Able to work well with front of house
Positive attitude and team-focused approach
The Role Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Help lead prep and service
Maintain consistent food quality and presentation
Support ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation
Train and guide junior members of the team
Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
Help create a positive and professional kitchen culture
Step up in the Head Chefs absence when required
