Your new role
As Fabrication & Assembly Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading fabrication and assembly operations, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role where you will drive performance, support business growth and implement continuous improvement responsibilities will include:
Leading daily fabrication and assembly operations to meet production and delivery targets
Managing labour utilisation, costs and operational efficiency
Ensuring compliance with ISO9001, ISO3834 and EN1090 (CE) standards
Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured to specification
Driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions
Promoting a strong health & safety culture across all operations
Overseeing paint line, stores and dispatch functions
Leading, coaching and developing production teams
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced manufacturing leader with a strong background in fabrication and welding, capable of supporting a growing business in a fast-paced will have:
Proven leadership experience within fabrication or heavy manufacturing
Strong technical knowledge of welding and structural steel fabrication
Experience managing teams and delivering against production targets
A solid understanding of quality standards and continuous improvement
Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Excellent communication and people management ability
Desirable:
Experience with EN1090, ISO9001 and ISO3834 standards
Exposure to high-volume manufacturing environments
